Dumaguete, officially the City of Dumaguete , is a 3rd class component city and capital of the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 131,377 people. It is the capital and most populous city of the province of Negros Oriental. Dumaguete is referred to as a university city because of the presence of four universities and a number of other colleges where students of the province converge to enroll for tertiary education. Dumaguete Oslob Whaleshark Tour
See up close the “tuki” or whalesharks of Oslob, only an hour and 20min drive &ro-ro (roll-on roll-off ferry) from Dumaguete. Next is a sidetrip to Tumalog Falls for a refreshing dip and some cool photo opportunity!
Dumaguete Dolphin Watching & Manjuyod Sandbar
An hour's drive north of Dumaguete brings you to Bais CIty, where an outrigger motorboat will cruise you along Tanon Strait to spot dolphins, and if lucky, whales too! Dumaguete Lake Balanan
Located in Sitio Balanan, Siaton- about an hour and half drive from Dumaguete, Lake Balanan is 285 meters above sea level and is fed by the Lamarao, Balanan and Managobsob creeks. For those who love nature-trekking, there is a four-kilometer circumferential pathway around the Lake under a canopy of vaious indigenous forest trees. Trekkers will also get a chance to see three waterfalls at the other side of the Lake.
