Huddersfield is a large market town in the metropolitan borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England. It had 162,949 residents at the 2011 census. It sits close to the Pennines, 14 miles southwest of Leeds, 12 miles west of Wakefield, 23 miles northwest of Sheffield and 24 miles northeast of Manchester.
