There are some pretty massive sand dunes in the middle of Death Valley National Park in California. You don’t have to go to the African Sahara to experience these! They are right in the middle of Death Valley National Park, near the Mesquite parking lot. A short walk from the parking lot leads to these sand dunes – they couldn’t be any more convenient to access!.
The only downside is there aren’t any camels to ride on here. The untouched dunes are bit further out where less people venture out. It takes a bit effort to walk all the way to them in the sand, but its worth it. If you don’t like sand all over your clothes, don’t worry, you can enjoy the views right from the parking lot. Regardless, it is a beautiful landscape especially at sunrise or sunset when the temperature is a bit mild. The pictures speak for themselves.
