Are you planning to visit Jackson Hole, Wyoming soon? One of the first things you should do in the park is take the scenic drive around Grand Teton National Park and soak in the breathtaking scenery before doing any other activity. The park has many turnouts along the road where you can stop and take those postcard perfect pictures! You will want to stop every few minutes as the views keep getting better at every turn.
We recommend taking Highway 191 from Jackson Hole to Moran, and Teton Park Road on the way back. That loop, which is 49 miles long, will cover all the scenic turnouts (or most of them anyway) in the park. It will also allow you to drive on Jenny lake scenic drive which is one way road driving south. Note though that the Teton Park Road is close Nov – May due to winter conditions.
The entire loop should take 2-3 hours depending on how much time you’d like to spend at each turnout. You could easily spend an entire day driving around the park. Some of our favorite turnouts are – Oxbow Bend, Mt. Moran Turnout, Cascade Canyon Turnout and Teton Glacier Turnout.
